i just wanted lance to be fucking happy in this show and he deserved a happy ending more than anyone else but now hes just a traumatized farmer like was i even hoping for too much?? he deserved an endgame that reciprocated his feelings early on not in the last season and he deserved an arc that wasn’t solely based on allura and he deserved to hear alfor say more than “im glad my daughter chose you uwu” when everyone else got to be assured of their self worth and practically called heroes while lance was only called a good boyfriend. i hate this shit so much im gonna be sad abt this for a long, long time
I wish people would stop hurling the word “toxic” and “abusive” around when they basically mean
“this person has a flaw that I personally dislike and therefore that flaw is their Only Character Trait and any relationship they get into will be defined by this flaw and nothing else because if they don’t conform to my personal view of pure flawlessness then they are utterly irredeemable”
