Both Harry and Draco have trouble sleeping. When it isn’t nightmares, it’s a simple reluctance to lie on bed with their thoughts. Poor sleeping habits quickly took their toll, and while they can both see it in the other, they were less likely to see it in themselves.
One night, in a desperate attempt to get Draco to sleep, Harry said he needed Draco to hold him.
“Just until I fall asleep,” Harry insisted.
There they stayed, in the dark of the room, holding one another until the daylight crept in. A tiny sliver of sunlight traced across the room and onto the two sleeping boys.
