ways to save your current tumblr posts
use the wayback machine! you do have to archive each page of your blog individually but once you do all the content, including media, will be saved exactly as it was at the moment you archived it.
wordpress allows you to directly import whole tumblr blogs, and if i recall correctly it’s something both dreamwidth and pillowfort have said they are working on.
tumblthree is a great tool with a ton of functions including downloading whole blogs, only posts tagged with a certain tag, all the posts you’ve liked, etc. etc. along with being able to download every type of media hosted on tumblr (pictures, videos, audio, everything). it also has a proper GUI so no computer knowledge required beyond downloading and running programs!
if you have some knowledge of computers you can try this github solution which uses a python script to download your whole blog to your computer. even if you don’t know anything about programming or the command line they give a very good beginners tutorial on how to use it so you should still give it a shot!
if that’s still a little daunting you can try soarcodes’ tumblr post that also has a decent tutorial!
here’s another python script that should allow you to archive all the images from your blog or your likes, though it requires some knowledge of python and the command line or very very good google skills.

please note that every site on this list will have pros and cons, and i haven’t listed them here since this post would be a mile long otherwise. please do your research before moving completely over to another site in case they have policies you disagree with.
also, because I see a lot of misinformed people ranting about this: deviantart does not own the art you post. some years ago hot topic stole a ton of art from DA and sold it on merchandise and people assumed that DA gave them permission to do it despite there being literally zero evidence for that claim. DA explictly states in their TOS that you retain copyright and sole license of the art you post.
and related, mastodon does not allow or condone CP or pedophilia. the people spreading this info are misinformed about what mastodon is. it is not an exact twitter clone; anyone anywhere can host a mastodon instance using their personal computer as a server, which means mastodon as a company can’t do jack shit to moderate them. what they DO is permanently block all users from every other instance from viewing or interacting with that instance, and add that instance to a publicly viewable list along with the reason for the block. please give their post about anti-abuse measures a read before making snap judgements.
I’m positive this has been made already but oh whale
It was their first Christmas since they left Earth
Everyone felt a little homesick
No one really wanted to celebrate
But Lance being Lance, tried to get everyone in the Christmas spirit
He had a slight hunch when they left they would be gone for a while
So he took some faux (pronounced ‘foe’)fur and different colored felt and little fluff balls
And wrapping paper
And of course the most important thing
Mistletoe
Lance spent all night working on Santa hats for each Paladin
He made sure to get everyone’s dead measurements before they went to sleep
He wouldn’t tell them why because he wanted it to be a surprise
Each hat correlated with each of the paladins original colors, with the exception of Coran and Allura since TECHNICALLY Coran didn’t have a lion and Allura has the white lion
So obviously Lance didn’t want Keith’s to be just plain ol’ red
But he didn’t have the materials he needed to make the hat just for Keef
So he made Coran fly ALLLLLL the way over to the space mall so he could grab a few more things from some random arts and crafts store do aliens have those? i dont know
Once he got the extra felt they were back on course to whatever planet they needed to go to next
Lance got to work
And, well, he’d feel bad if he didn’t add a little something to everyone’s hat
So he bought just a little more than he needed
But only for the sole purpose of making everyone’s hats lovely
So Keith’s has cute baby hippos (red hat)
Hunks has Christmas-style sugar cookies (yellow hat)
Shiro has silver snowflakes (black hat)
Allura has poinsettias (white hat)
Pidge has presents and Matt has bows (both green hats)
Coran has tangled up Christmas lights (white and blue hat)
And Lance obviously has mistletoe on his (blue hat)
Each hat has a puff ball hanging at the tip of the hat
(And for anyone who’s confused these are mini felt pictures? Is that what they’re called?)
Lance stared at each of the hats a smiled
He didn’t know what the time was but it must’ve been late considering Coran scolded him for waking him up
But Lances eyes lingered on Keith’s before he decided to add something
He took the hat carefully in his hands and stitched a mini heart on the inside
He took a felt pen (that he brought with him since his mom always taught him to do so)
And wrote “I love you, Keith”
Why was he blushing?
He shouldn’t be
Right?
Regardless, Lance was too tired to move to his bed
Mind you it was like four feet away
So he passed out on the floor
No one dared to wake him up since they knew he had been up doing god knows what
Lance woke up a couple hours later, happy and excited to give everyone their hats
He gathered them in his hands carefully, making sure nothing comes undone
He sees Pidge and Matt first, handing them their hats and wishing them a merry Christmas
“It’s December 3rd”
“Never too early, Pidgeon”
He saw Hunk next, and handed it to Hunk
He put down his hats then let Hunk crush him in a bear hug, hearing many thank you’s
He saw Coran and Allura and plopped the Santa hats on their heads
“Merry Christmas!”
Allura and Coran looked at each other confused but shrugged and continued their discussion
His last one was for Keith
He was blushing again
Stop blushing Lance! It’s just Keith
He found Keith in the training room, per usual
He cleared his throat, not knowing why he was so nervous
“H-here”
He presented the hat to Keith and turned his head away, trying to hide his blush
Keith smiles warmly and took the hat from his hands
He carefully looked at the hand stitching and then saw the heart
Then he saw the message in the heart
He decided not to say anything but a “thank you”
Lance nodded and got out of the room as quickly as possible
Why was he so embarrassed?
Later that day Lance hung up some mistletoe he had
Keith saw this as an opportunity and waited for the perfect moment
When Lance finished hanging it up he saw Keith walk towards him
He wasn’t gonna kiss him
He wasn’t

No
Then he did
Keith planted a soft kiss onto Lances lips
“I love you too, idiot”
Lance laughed and brought Keith in for another kiss, both of them smiling into it
